This book as part of the Sage Course Companions series provides undergraduate students with an overview of the key themes in policing, whilst also including study skills. This text will be used as an introduction to help students move on to more complex policing material.
This could be the course guide developed for students of policing providing an essential overview for students and a reference point for use throughout their studies.
This book is at a very basic, introductory level. For my Level 5 students, I would be expecting them to be reading more primary sources and so would not present this as a key text.
