excellent book
For students exploring current issues in literacy teaching in more depth for enhanced studies and research projects. A thorough consideration of debates around definitions of literacy and how these affect children identified as having literacy difficulties.
This text will be recommended for use across at least 2 modules for Teaching and Learning Support. The strategies included will certainly support students to relate theory to practice. The style of the content is easy to navigate for both BA and Foundation Degree Students.
Recommended text for 2nd Year Foundation degree students. Use for those undertaking action research projects in area of literacy

Both these books provide an excellent breadth and depth of relevant information to support my course.
Not suitable
This book gives my learners some of the underpinning knowledge needed when working with and supporting learners with Dyslexia in their learning environment. I highly recommend this as part of our booklist for the level 5 literacy subject specialism
Interesting and useful book. I will refer to parts of it but the book as a whole is too specialised for the students I am working with at present. I will recommend to colleagues teaching on other courses, particularly masters.
