Rangapriya (Priya) Kannan San Jose State University, USA
Rangapriya (Priya) Kannan-Narasimhan is a professor of management and the inaugural chair of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship department at the University of San Diego’s School of Business. She is also the founder director of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Catalyzer (The CatalyZer). Priya is an affiliate faculty at the Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies at USD, as well as a professor of entrepreneurship at the University of Exeter Business School, one of the UK’s leading institutions. Priya received her PhD from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. She was also a visiting research fellow at Cambridge Judge Business School during her sabbatical.
Priya’s primary research stream focuses on how entrepreneurs navigate constraints in their environmental contexts by engaging in creative resourcing and reframing to accomplish their innovations. She has had papers published in several premier innovation and business journals such as the Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Organization Studies, and Journal of Business Ethics. Priya has earned several awards recognizing her excellence in research and teaching and for her contributions to institution building.
