Melanie Simms is the Professor of Work and Employment at the University of Glasgow’s Adam Smith Business School and is currently Head of the Management Subject Group. Melanie’s research and expertise largely focuses on work and employment, particularly in the UK, with a focus on young people in the labour market, employee voices and on trade unionism and union organising.
Melanie Simms is also the author of the 2019 book, What Do We Know and What Should We Do About the Future of Work?, which explores our understanding of the current state of work and employment in the UK and how work and employment may evolve over time.
