Mary Helen McSweeney-Feld, PhD, LNHA Towson University, USA

Mary Helen McSweeney-Feld, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Health Care Management program, College of Health Professions, at Towson University in Towson, Maryland. She is the lead editor for the award winning textbook, Dimensions of Long-Term Care Management: An Introduction, now in a 2nd edition and published by Health Administration Press. She is the co-convenor of the Disasters and Older Adults special interest group in GSA, and has numerous publications in the health care and long-term care administration field specializing in health care emergency preparedness, health care finance and long-term care issues. She has been involved in a variety of national and state grant and demonstration programs for Alzheimer’s disease, long-term care direct care workers and emergency preparedness for long-term care administrators. She has a Ph.D. in Health Economics from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, and is a licensed nursing home administrator.
