Linda Liebenberg, PhD., is a researcher and evaluator with a core interest in the experiences of marginalised youth and their communities. In her work she explores the promotion of positive youth development and mental health. As a key component of this work, Linda reflects critically on the best ways in which to conduct research with children and their communities. This includes participatory image-based methods. She also emphasises knowledge mobilisation, exploring with youth and communities effective ways of ensuring that research findings inform policy, programs, and practice. Linda has published extensively on youth and related research approaches; consults internationally on research with youth and communities; and, is regularly a speaker at events on youth, community development and related research. In addition to managing her own consulting company, Linda is an adjunct professor at Dalhousie University and Saint Mary’s University, Canada, an international partner for the Youth Transitions Study, New Zealand and Research Fellow at the UNESCO Child and Family Research Centre, National University of Ireland, Galway.
