Joseph E. Gaugler is a Long-Term Care Professor in Nursing and Director of Graduate Studies in the Center on Aging at the University of Minnesota. His research focuses on longitudinal implications of family care for chronically disabled adults and the effectiveness of psychosocial- and community-based services for caregiving families, especially those caring for persons with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
