The Early Childhood Education and Care course at Huddersfield has the Early Childhood Graduate Practitioner Competencies (ECGPCs) embedded in every taught and practice module. This textbook is informative and the attention to detail has helped the students to develop their knowledge in relation to evidencing their skills for their ECGPCs.

Wonderful guide to help embed the Graduate Competencies, through the ECSDN, for both student and teacher. The structure of the book clearly defines the nine competencies, complimented by reflective questions and case studies. Visiting the historical and contemporary circumstances of early childhood studies helps define the complexities of the field for the reader and serves to create the context that the competencies sit within.
