This text is well written and well presented, students will find this useful.
This is a well structured statistics book that is easy to read. There are exercise activities to complete and assist the student work through the problems at their own pace.
The book provides useful and illustrative review of the common techniques in quantitative methods, including for example, statistical tests at bivarata and multivariate analysis, with exercises related to real research cases.
However, I believe this book can be a bit advanced for undergraduate student taken the course "Methods in Epidemiological Research, 7.5 hp).
For master's students conducting their thesis, the book is highly recommended
This book offers a level of explanation on a par with Field's 'Discovering Statistics with SPSS' but is much more to the point with fewer tangents. The explanations are excellent and it doesn't shy away from using equations, thus it is a book to be recommended to the more confident students.
