SAGE Publishing partners with National Economic Association to publish The Review of Black Political Economy
SAGE Publishing today announces a partnership with the National Economic Association, a leading not-for-profit professional membership association, to publish The Review of Black Political Economy.
“The Review has been the premier platform for the exchange of views and analysis around racial disparities and black economic development in both the United States and the diaspora for nearly fifty years,” said Dr. Margaret C. Simms, The Review’s Editor from 1983 to 1988 and current co-editor and Institute Fellow of the Urban Institute. “I think the move to SAGE will raise it to an even higher level of prominence in its chosen field.”
“As the journal of the National Economic Association since 1977, The Review of Black Political Economy was the first to address policies relating to the African-American experience,” added Dr. Olugbenga Ajilore, President of the National Economic Association and Associate Professor at the University of Toledo. “We are excited to be partnering with SAGE because of their understanding of our goals for the journal and they have the infrastructure to maximize the impact of the work published in The Review. SAGE also values our history, our place within the field, and will work to help us continue making important contributions to issues pertaining to marginalized populations throughout the diaspora.”
Established in 1970, The Review of Black Political Economy is the leading outlet for research that examines issues related to the economic status of African-Americans, the African diaspora, and marginalized populations throughout the world. A journal of the National Economic Association, The Review identifies and analyzes policy prescriptions designed to reduce racial, ethnic, and gender economic inequality.
