Pediatric and Developmental Pathology set to move to SAGE Publishing in 2017

June 14, 2016

SAGE Publishing is pleased to announce that as of January 2017, it will begin publishing Pediatric and Developmental Pathology (PDP), the official journal of the Society for Pediatric Pathology (SPP) and the Paediatric Pathology Society (PPS)Addressing diseases that affect the human embryo, fetus, and child, PDP has been a resource for pediatricians, pathologists, and other developmental biologists, physicians and researchers since its founding in 1998.

“This is an exciting opportunity to reinvigorate PDP,” commented Miguel Reyes- Múgica, Editor-in-Chief. “Taking advantage of the experience and excellent quality of SAGE Publishing, PDP will increase its visibility and attractiveness, becoming more agile and better poised to achieve its aim of publishing the highest quality articles in the field.”

PDP publishes research on gestational and perinatal diseases, as well as congenital and acquired childhood diseases such as asthma, cancer, diabetes, and more. The bi-monthly journal also publishes articles on birth defects and developmental abnormalities of the embryo and placenta. In addition, PDP accepts studies from experimental, anatomic, clinical and molecular pathology.

Pediatric and Developmental Pathology advances the knowledge and care of diseases and disorders so that new generations can lead healthier lives,” commented Bob Howard, Vice President of Journals, SAGE Publishing. “We look forward to working with the Society for Pediatric Pathology and the Paediatric Pathology Society to ensure that such research, and its application to current health needs, reaches an international audience.”

The journal’s editorial board includes representatives from all areas of pediatric pathology, and submissions are reviewed by distinguished referees from around the world. For more information on the journal, please click here.
