A very clear introduction to the sociology of work and occupations. I recommend this book as supplemental material
1st. Writing is clear and concise. Comprehensible for students of varying literacy skills.
2nd. Faculty resources helpful for faculty preparing or teaching course subject for the first time (PowerPoint’s, text banks, and web links).
3rd. The content is applicable to occupation shifts, and has practical examples to illuminate sociological concepts with examples.
4th. Price, of course. Affordability at an institution drawing students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
