The text has a theoretical approach which is good, but it is not helpful in the development of my module content. I was looking for something more pragmatic.
Useful for researching using narrative in health and social care
This book offers a clear interpretation of Czarniawska's formula to use narrative as a qualitative research method. The interview transcript as narrative was particularly interesting. A good guide for novice and more professional social science researchers
Helps students to adopt more qualittive research strategies in public relations research
This is a really useful and insightful book, which discusses the complexities and simplicities of using a narrative approach in social research. Practical and engaging.
The experience of self and one's own telling are increasingly becoming popular in social sciences. This book is really beneficial in the sense of personal narratives
I would highly recommend this book to students using narrative methodology as a research tool. It is highly readable and user friendly. Each chapter provides a further reading list and a useful exercise. An excellent resource.
