Peter J. Kragel, MD East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine, USA

Doctor Kragel received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and then completed a combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He served as a pathologist in the United States Naval Reserve at Bethesda National Naval Center and afterwards spent a year at the National Cancer Institute Laboratory of Pathology. He was the Chair of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine from 1998 through 2018, and is presently a professor in that department. During his career, he has also served as residency program director and an interim dean. Dr. Kragel has over 100 published manuscripts and abstracts, and continues to be involved in clinical pathology and educational research.
