i enjoyed this book particularly the chapters contained all the up to date core work / essential knowledge to understand about the subject area. therefore it provides a basis for the student to have enough understanding in order if they desire to explore areas further. well set out which was easy to follow / read - diagrams and tables used appropriately. book to recommend for my mental health students

An excellent foundation for all MH student nurses. Covers key concepts in a user friendly manner. Well laid out and illustrated with appropriate tables etc. I particularly like the use of disscussion points and reflection points.
A clear and stimulating read. This is a great text for students who may not be on a full mental health programme but who need some insight into mental health care e.g. paramedic students or general nursing students
This text, for a module aimed at qualified and experienced clinicians, was useful in helping them to reflect on their practice and develop confidence in the evidence base that supports their therapeutic activity.
For a module aimed at non-mental health professionals, this was a useful and readable text that was able to convey the key points about and needs of the client group to clinicians whose focus is physical care.
