It is an ideal text for Masters and PhD students who are beginning to think independently about methodological approaches and methods. In particular in Part 3 it offers a range of contemporary approaches to qualitative research which takes account of influences on changes in social life.

A very complete and informative book. For our students it goes too much into detail, but for our researching colleagues and doctorate students it offers a good overview of backgrounds and methods of qualitative data analysis.
