A fascinating and insightful book, with great tips and examples.
This is an easy to read and understand book. I can see it being useful for early teachers perhaps at the start of their course. There are lots of practical ideas that trainees can try on teaching practice. It would benefit from a new edition to include the new standards.

Nice book which can contribute especially to the more lesson-focused parts of the course. We will leave it to the students, though.
The book is easy to read, with short succint chapters; it is accessible to PGCE students who are busy and feel stressed! I like the links to watch videos which provides students with a good starting points - the text helps them to evaluate and look out for particualr things in the lessons which will help them in observing lessons in their school placements. Lots of practical advice as well as some theory and suggestions for further reading.
Used as an introductory text before starting the course and is recommended reading for M level Assignments. It has been put on reading list in the course booklet.
Excellent content: up to date and easy to read. Good use of case studies and examples. I shall be using it to help with my teaching of PGCE and GTP Science student teachers.
