Very useful resource for students
This is very useful for students who are studing general business qualifications with a HRM module.
I advise students of its uses as wider reading for assignment preperation.
It is a very useful handbook, above all for this kind of students who have never studied about this subject.
The book is to basic for the students. Parts of it are used but not as the main book.

Provides an overview of key concepts in HRM although, the focus was from a practitioner perspective. Useful source of reference for students.

It was really interesting. The chapters are designed in a very organised way, so that any introductory person can learn HRM well.

- The concepts of "industrial relations" (or "labour relations") and "employee share ownerhsip" could be added - References may be more oriented to academic literature sources (guiding students to further readings...) - There is a slight cultural bias on UK (e.g., CIPD, statutory bodies)
Good for use as initial reference for students
The text provides principles and practice in simple way. This test is good for the beginners in HRM. The content of the text is easy to understand for the Japanese students.

This is an easy-to-use glossary for those studying the basics of HRM.
Comprehensive overview. Good design. Maybe some illustrations/graphics would be helpful.
