Joyce S. Pang received her PhD in Personality Psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. She is currently an Associate Dean (Research) at the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, and an associate professor of Psychology at the School of Social Sciences in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. As a personality psychologist, she is broadly interested in the influences of multiple social identities and individual differences on well-being, performance, and health psychology outcomes within different social contexts. Her major line of research is in motivation assessment. Most recently, she has been investigating the use of machine learning for automating the laborious content coding process that is involved in scoring implicit motives in text.
