Lisa Cranley, PhD, RN University of Toronto, Canada

Dr. Lisa Cranley, RN, PhD is an Assistant Professor at the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing. She is an Assistant Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Alberta, and is cross-appointed to the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, Institute for Life Course & Aging (status only), University of Toronto, and as Assistant Professor, to the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Cranley aims to improve the quality of health care delivery to older adults in the long-term care sector. Her research is focused in knowledge translation and decision-making, using qualitative and mixed methods approaches. Dr. Cranley’s research explores ways to facilitate collaborative approaches to decision-making among staff in long-term care, and by engaging residents, their family members, and staff together in team decision-making.
