Voice of the Global South

eISSN: 29769450 | ISSN: 29769442 Frequency: 3 Times/Year
Journal of World Affairs: Voice of the Global South is a tri-annual, peer-reviewed journal, which publishes high-quality empirical original research and short commentaries on global issues. The growing influence of the Global South is reshaping global power dynamics, signaling a shift in international relations and global governance. The journal seeks to amplify the authentic voice of the Global South on global issues, offering diverse perspectives across various fields, such as politics, governance, foreign relations, security, human rights, and development. With contributions from scholars, practitioners, and experts worldwide, the journal aims to establish itself as a key international platform for analyzing global challenges, particularly those impacting the Global South. Its broader scope positions the journal to become a leading intellectual voice, reflecting the evolving power balance and the significant role the Global South will play in shaping global affairs.Journal of World Affairs: Voice of the Global South publishes two kinds of papers: short commentaries and original research articles on global issues and problems. The journal is published three times a year (April, August, December). A commentary (2000-3000 words) should frame the issue or problem under investigation as a 'question' that is then answered in the piece. For example, commentary questions could be as follows: Does the Squad signal the death of the Quad? Where is the Ukraine war heading? Will China invade Taiwan? Is the Islamic State now an African phenomenon? What can we expect from the G20 Summit in Brazil in 2024? Can President Trump seal the US southern border? Are we moving towards a de-dollarized world? Authors should use hyperlinks to cite sources. A research article (8000-10000 words) should be based on original research that addresses a significant research puzzle or problem using theory and appropriate methodology. No part of the paper should have been published in any format before; authors will be required to attest to this at the point of submission. Authors should use the APA style to cite sources.Journal of World Affairs: Voice of the Global South is a regular academic journal. Authors are not required to pay a fee to have their papers considered and published in the journal. However, upon publication, authors may pay a fee to the publisher to make their publication open access online. Questions regarding the journal should be sent to Dr Rajat Ganguly, Editor-in-Chief, at rajatganguly@outlook.com.
