Not all my trainee teachers work with this age range, so it will be referred to as a recommended text on my reading list.
This is a really down-to-earth book with lots of practical ideas aimed at equipping teachers with a variety of different approaches to capture the interest and engage teenage learners. The questions for professional development in each chapter are a particularly nice touch and encourage reflection. The chapters on Learner Voice, Metacognition
and Bloom I found particularly useful as teacher trainer.
Easy to read, plenty of ideas how to keep teenagers to engage activities. I have applied some of the examples of activites into my lessons in order to keep my learnres engaging.
