SAGE Publishing expands healthcare journal portfolio with the Canadian Journal of Nursing Research
SAGE Publishing is pleased to announce that it has begun publishing the Canadian Journal of Nursing Research (CJNR). Advancing scholarship in nursing and health care for 47 years, CJNR is an established resource for nurses, nurse researchers, students, and educators and policymakers across the globe.
“As the newly appointed Editor-in-Chief of Canadian Journal of Nursing Research (CJNR), I along with the Editorial Board have every intention to preserve CJNR’s Canadian identity while developing it to be one of the leading nursing research journals in Canada and abroad,” commented Maher El-Masri, PhD, RN, University of Windsor. “We believe that Canada deserves an outstanding and internationally competitive nursing research journal, and that with SAGE’s publishing expertise and its broad distribution among researchers and libraries, we can make the CJNR that journal.”
A quarterly publication, CJNR accepts qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method research on a variety of topics related to nursing and health care. CJNR also publishes research reports, research reviews, conceptual models and commentaries. Article abstracts are provided in both French and English.
“The Canadian Journal of Nursing Research is an outlet where scholars can exchange ideas, broaden nursing knowledge and further develop their skills to benefit health systems and patients everywhere,” commented Bob Howard, Vice President of Journals, SAGE Publishing. “We are delighted to welcome Canadian Journal of Nursing Research to SAGE and look forward to building on its success and impact.”
Pre-2016 issues of CJNR can be accessed via the open access repository at McGill University, available here. For information on the journal’s 2016 content, please click here.
