SAGE Publishing and Adam Matthew announce major deal with Egyptian Specialized Presidential Council for Education

London, UK. SAGE Publishing, a leading international disseminator of journals, books and digital media for academic and educational communities, and Adam Matthew, a leading provider of unique primary resource collections, are delighted to announce a partnership with the Egyptian Specialized Presidential Council for Education to provide enhanced research opportunities to the community.

This deal forms part of an international engagement with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank Project which is aimed at providing all Egyptian citizens with access to quality research, digital products and education materials. This national license is a great step in ensuring increased access to global research stays at the heart of the wider community. The agreement with SAGE Publishing and Adam Matthew enables all Universities, research institutes, hospitals, corporations, schools and the general public to have access to:

  • Over 4,400 eBook and eReference titles via the SAGE Knowledge platform;
  • Over 820 peer-reviewed journals from SAGE; and
  • Two primary source collections from Adam Matthew: ‘Confidential Print: Africa, 1834-1966’ and ‘Confidential Print: Middle East, 1839-1969’ covering formerly restricted government files from the UK government’s official archive.

In addition the partnership will also support both training and development opportunities across seminar engagement as the Egyptian Knowledge Bank develops its initiatives and drive to better support research and learning within the region.

The agreement was signed on behalf of SAGE and Adam Matthew by Tony Histed at a signing ceremony held in Egypt. This agreement forms part of a larger national license agreed by The Egyptian Government with several leading international publishers.
