Excellent overview to works of Mills; although I was expecting greater focus on his work surrounding the sociological imagination. But excellent for further exploration of his work.
I beleive everyone should read Mills even if he/sh may or may not consider contemporary sociology as being of importance. I assure you it is very important.
Trevino provides a useful and thorough account of the relevance of Mills to modern sociological thought. The appreciation of C.Wright Mills' contribution to the sociological imagination is articulated very accurately by Trevino. This book is an excellent aid to the study of Sociology at both A-level and first year undergarduate level. It provides a strong argument as to why Mills has to be considered in the same esteem as his mid-west peer, Talcott Parsons.
