I have found this book interesting and relevant to my students taking the Professional experience module. It is expected that their research proposal (which will begin after their internship) would emanate from their experience as interns and would focus on identifying care and management gaps within healthcare organisations and propose evidence based interventions through action research. This book will support them in developing strategies to achieve this.
For those working in an ever changing working environment this provides easy reading to help plan changes within the workplace. Useful for most practitioners in a leadership position

I think this book will be useful for students, particularly the latter chapters. the information on the management and history of the NHS is useful, but not essential to their program of study, so it will be recommended but not esential.
