Johanna Vollhardt Clark University, USA

Dr. Vollhardt is a faculty member at Clark University. Her research examines the psychological impact of collective victimization, addressing questions about how people make sense of oppression and violence against their group, and how beliefs about collective victimization shape intergroup attitudes, social and political views, and resistance strategies in violent or repressive contexts. Dr. Vollhardt uses a variety of methods to study these topics across different ethnic, racial, religious, and national groups. She co-edits the Journal of Social and Political Psychology and teaches courses on research methods, intergroup relations, and the aftermath of collective violence.
