Rebecca B. Smith Hill, PhD, MSW is a senior researcher at the Center for Transition Research and Leadership in the College of Education at the University of South Carolina in the USA. She received her doctoral degree in special education with a focus on transition and a Master’s degree in social work from the University of South Carolina. Her research interests include self-determination, dignity of risk, sense of belonging, identity development, and mental health and wellness for transition-age emerging adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
