SAGE to begin publishing the Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology
London, UK. SAGE Publishing today announces that it is to begin publishing the Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology (QJEP), the official journal of the Experimental Psychology Society.
Supporting the interests of scientific psychology and its researchers for over 70 years, the QJEP is a world renowned journal in experimental psychology and has published numerous classic papers in the fields of attention, perception, learning, memory, language, and reasoning. The first SAGE published issue will be in January 2018.
Editor in Chief, Professor Simon Liversedge, remarked:
“Experimental psychology is vital to elevating and developing psychological research as a whole, providing an avenue to explore cutting-edge thought, and nuanced investigation. With SAGE, a leading social science publisher, the QJEP’s instrumental research in this area will join a strong portfolio of psychology journals and reach wider audiences globally. We look forward to seeing what the journal accomplishes in its new home.”
Professor Mike Burton, President of the Experimental Psychology Society, commented:
“On selecting a new home for our flagship journal we sought a publisher who would support and encourage the development of the QJEP’s pioneering research. Together with SAGE, a publisher renowned for publishing the highest quality research in the social sciences and championing its value, we have every confidence in the future success of the journal.”
Miranda Nunhofer, Executive Director, Humanities and Social Science Journals, SAGE Publishing, further commented:
“We have long admired the Experimental Psychology Society and the research published by the QJEP, a journal which has a global reputation within the complex field of experimental psychology. We look forward to partnering with the EPS and welcoming this world-class journal into our growing portfolio of high-quality psychology journals.”
