Vicente Núñez-Antón is Professor of Statistics at The University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU in Spain. He received a Master and a Ph.D. in Statistics from The University of Iowa, USA. He published on longitudinal data analysis, survival data, nonparametric estimation methods, goodness-of-fit testing and health related quality of life methods. He has published several books, among which we have the book "Antedependence Models for Longitudinal Data" published by Chapman & Hall/CRC Press, as well as papers in the journals Biometrics, Biostatistics, Statistics in Medicine, Statistical Methods in Medical Research, Journal of Statistical Planning and Inference, Statistics & Probability Letters, Test, British Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology, SORT, Computational Statistics and Data Analysis, Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation, Journal of Informetrics, Behavior Research Methods, Journal of Applied Statistics, Communications in Statistics – Simulation and Computation. He was Associate Editor for Applied Statistics and Statistical Modelling, and is currently associate editor for METHODOLOGY: European Journal of Research Methods for the Behavioral and Social Sciences. He was member of the International Program Committee (IPC) for the International Biometric Conferences in Canada, Ireland, Japan, and the Chair of the IPC for the IBC in Brazil. He was a member of the organizing and scientific committees for the V Meeting of the IBS Network for Central America, The Caribbean, Mexico, Colombia and Venezuela and organized the workshop “Survival of the Fittest. Time to Event Analysis in Biostatistics, Economics and Related Fields.” He is one of the founders of the BIOSTATNET Network in Biostatistics, and of the Statistical Modelling Society, member of its Board of Trustees, its Executive Committee and was also its Secretary. He was also Chair of the Subcommittee of the American Statistical Association’s Committee on Nominations for International Representative to its Board of Directors.
