Michelle Kegler is a Professor of Behavioral Sciences and Health Education at the Rollins School of Public Health of Emory University, where she directs the Emory Prevention Research Center and serves as the Community Engagement Research Program co-lead for the Atlanta Clinical and Translational Science Institute. She also directs the Intervention Development, Dissemination and Implementation Shared Resource within Emory’s Winship Cancer Institute and co-leads the community engagement arm of the Emory Health and Exposome Research Center. Dr. Kegler is one of the nation’s foremost experts in designing, implementing, and evaluating community-based health promotion programs, particularly those that use a participatory approach. She is editor along with Ralph J. DiClemente and Richard A. Crosby of the book, Emerging Theories in Health Promotion Practice and Research (Jossey-Bass).
