Melissa Tyler is a professor of work and organization studies at the University of Essex. Her research on gender, feminist theory, and the body draws particularly on Judith Butler, phenomenology and queer theory, and has been published in a range of journal articles, book chapters, authored books, and edited collections. She is an associate editor of Gender, Work and Organization. Melissa is currently working on two books: a research monograph on the relationship between work and place, Soho at Work (Oxford University Press), and a single-authored book on feminist theory, work and recognition, Judith Butler and Organization Theory (Routledge).
