Karen V. Fernandez is Associate Professor in Marketing at the University of Auckland in New Zealand She received her Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Kansas. Karen’s key research stream examines consumers relationships with possessions and technology. Her work has also focused on sharing and the acquisition of used and discarded possessions, contributing to our understanding of how we can shape a more sustainable future. Karen has published her work in leading international journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research, theJournal of Public Policy and Marketing and the Journal of Business Research. Karen is an Associate Editor of Consumption, Markets & Culture. Karen teaches Principles of Marketing, Marketing Research Methods and Consumer Behavior and has won multiple teaching awards.
