Flora Oswald Universty of South Carolina

Dr. Oswald holds a dual PhD in Social Psychology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Penn State. Her research is centered on liberation through a feminist perspective, focusing on areas such as addressing health disparities among marginalized groups, fat liberation and resistance, abolitionist politics, and sexual liberation from systems of sexualized violence. Dr. Oswald is also passionate about feminist methodologies, philosophies of science, and metascience, particularly within the open science movement. Her work has received support from various organizations, including the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, Women and Gender Equality Canada, and the McCourtney Institute for Democracy.
