Edith A. Parker, DrPH, MPH University of Iowa, USA

Edith Parker is Professor and Head of the Department of Community and Behavioral Health at the University of Iowa College of Public Health. Previously she had been Associate Professor of Health Behavior and Health Education at the University of Michigan School of Public Health, where she also served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Her research focuses on the development, implementation and evaluation of community-based participatory interventions to improve health status and reduce health disparities. Her studies have focused on women's and children's health, childhood asthma, environmental justice, and environmental risk communication. She has also directed or co-directed studies funded by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and National Center for Minority Health and Health Disparities.
