Lauren is the Acquisitions Editor for Accounting, Finance, and Decision Sciences at Sage and Cambridge Business Publishers. She joined Sage in 2014 and worked in sales and content development before becoming an Acquisitions Editor in 2022. Lauren has a passion for publishing innovative content that supports students and instructors. She is interested in signing and developing core texts for courses in accounting, finance, and decision sciences.

Charles Lee

Charles is the Acquisitions Editor for Speech, Mass Communication and Media Studies at Sage. He joined Sage in 2015 as a college textbook sales representative and oversaw a variety of territories across the entire United States and Canada, engaging with instructors to learn about course needs in a consultative fashion. As an editor, he is looking forward to cultivating relationships with current and new authors. He is interested in signing captivating core texts across the entire Communication curriculum and discipline, with a keen interest in Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, and Intercultural Communication.

Christy Sadler

Christy is the acquisitions editor for political science under Sage’s CQ Press imprint. She joined Sage and CQ Press in 2022 after nearly two decades of editorial and marketing work in public policy, education, and academic publishing. Christy works with authors on high-quality, inclusive books that support both students and instructors, and she is always interested in acquiring core textbooks with new perspectives and hearing from instructors in these courses about their needs and experiences.

Anna Villarruel

Anna is an Acquisitions Editor at Sage Publishing, where she acquires textbooks in Social Work, Counseling, and Family Studies. With over a decade of experience in social science publishing, she is dedicated to developing resources that prepare future professionals to navigate complex social issues with knowledge, empathy, and innovation.

She is particularly interested in core textbooks that address pressing social issues, promote equity and inclusion, and provide practical, evidence-based guidance for students and practitioners alike. Anna is eager to collaborate with authors from diverse backgrounds and perspectives to create impactful books that make a difference in classrooms and communities.

In 2015, she joined the College team as an acquisitions editor. She is currently looking to sign and develop innovative core texts for introductory courses in Education.

Erica has been with Sage since 2010 and has 20+ years of editorial, marketing, and sales experience in higher education publishing. She is looking to sign fresh, resonant voices in the areas of sociology (Sage’s original college textbook collection) and anthropology, with particular interest in race/ethnicity/gender/class, cultural anthropology, archeology, and biological anthropology. Erica is committed to bringing inspiring and inclusive content to the academic communities that she serves.

Helen is executive editor for Research Methods, Statistics, and Evaluation and works across all areas of the list. Helen has 30 years of publishing experience and has worked for Sage for more than 20 years, in both the UK and the US. Helen is interested in acquiring innovative new introductory textbook projects in Research Methods, Statistics, Program Evaluation, and Qualitative Methods. She is also responsible for acquiring new titles for Sage's Quantitative Applications in the Social Sciences series (the “little green books”).

Since joining Sage in 2014, she has developed a strong track record of publishing high-quality, student-friendly textbooks across the social sciences. She is passionate about helping undergraduate students build real-world research skills that are applicable beyond the classroom—whether in their future careers or everyday decision-making.

Anna is particularly interested in signing core textbooks that break down difficult concepts and help students connect research methods to real-world applications. She welcomes proposals from authors who focus on making research engaging, relevant, and accessible for students who may be encountering these topics for the first time.

He joined Sage in 2024 after 15+ years in sales and editorial roles at Macmillan Learning, where he worked with multiple market-leading author teams and launched a variety of first editions and groundbreaking media products. Dan is passionate about nurturing distinct author voices and shaping fresh approaches that support students and instructors. He is interested in signing core texts across the psychology curriculum with particular interest in introductory psychology, psychopathology, neuroscience, statistics, and methods, among others. 

Adeline Grout

She joined Sage in 2016, where she has developed textbooks, videos, and digital resources across the social sciences.
